A
GLOBAL PHENOMENON
The
last mail was submitted to His Excellency the President of India on 29 March
2013. The same mail was sent to the
Supreme Court of India, Indian Army and Indian Air Force. Later, it was
sent through post to the President of India and the Chief Justice of India; and
posted in the blog www. howeverythinghappenedinindia.blogspot.com
Prime
Minister Manmohan Singh, on 30 March
2013, asked the people to judge his performance.
He should have granted freedom before
talking like this.
The principal opposition party, the BJP-
demanded Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to
appear before the Joint Parliamentary
Committee (JPC) probing the 2G case.
The latter rejected it.
If there is any illegality, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh must be the first accused in this case. But,
what he says is law.
Bombay High Court, on 2 April 2013, allowed
the State Bank of India (SBI), to
sell the shares of the UB group pledged by Mr.Vijay
Mallya to buy aircraft.
Now, Mallya
can perish, and not others.
The newspapers on the same day said that a
consortium of 14 banks had lent about Re. 7000 crore to Mr. Vijay Mallya to buy aircraft.
It is clear that the industrialists removed
money from different banks as if they were an amalgamated entity.
At the same time, the public sector banks
and the LIC demand different documents to discourage people from availing
themselves of any loan. They take months to receive an application and years to
process. Therefore, all loan applications must be through online and they must
be sanctioned based on district-wide, state-wide or country-wide seniority.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, on 3
April 2013, inaugurated the annual meeting of the Confederation of Indian
Industries (CII) at New Delhi.
The Prime Minister had to assuage their
feelings. Therefore – as in the
“Paradise Lost”, he said,
“The CII helped the nation to achieve its full
economic potential.
Both government and business have to be
partners in writing the story of development.
I benefitted greatly from this partnership
as Finance Minister in the 1990 and I welcome it today as Prime Minister of
India.
I know that the industry is deeply interested
in the state of our economy.
We are a private sector- led economy and
the driver of growth is indeed private investment.
The presence of Indian business abroad is a
projection of India’s success. This must reflect on the social
responsibility of
business.
The environment today is not what it
should be.
There are indeed many deficiencies.
Corruption is a problem.
Bureaucratic inertia is
a problem.
Managing a coalition is
not easy.
The fiscal deficit is
unacceptable.
The decision making has
slowed down.
There is decline in
investment.
The growth has slipped
to 5 per cent.
These need correction.
But these problems have not arisen
suddenly. They were there even earlier.
We can get back to 8 per cent growth.
If the business mood was unduly optimistic
in 2007, I think it is unduly pessimistic today.
You
should not be swamped by a mood of negativism.
I urge you to repose your faith in our
determination”.
Addressing the CII, BJP leader Mr. Arun
Jaitly said that the differences between the coalition partners had dragged
the economic growth down.
The industrialists had invited Congress
leader Mr. Raghul Gandhi also for the
meeting. They wanted to subdue him to their own will.
At the outset he praised them for taking the country forward.
At the outset he praised them for taking the country forward.
After that, as if to show that he inherited
bravery, he asked “whether the system could give the people the voice”.
They did not expect him to talk in
contraction of their plans. In fact, they became conscious of their
disappointment and challenged him to repeat it. Thus the front page headline
news of The New Indian Express dated
5-4- 2013 was “Boss Could You be a Little More Specific”
Why does he fail to exhibit his strength of
mind in “a Little More Specific” way as challenged by the paper is not known.
Telecom
Minister Kapil Sibal, on 4 April
2013, said that he was afraid of signing something because he did not know what
would happen in courts after five years.
The
courts will have to put right the public wrongs one day or other. The fact that
he had been instrumental in giving the PF money to private parties is
disturbing his mind now.
The
New Indian Express, on 5 April 2013, asked the Prime Minister to assert his
authority.
Instead of making any public investment,
he has secretly given unlimited public money to private parties. What do they
expect more?
The government of Tamil Nadu state appointed
an IAS officer as the administrator of the Annamalai
University- a private university.
Further, the Vice Chancellor of the
university was placed under suspension based on the findings of a special audit
team.
The decision is a commendable one. However,
this must be emulated all over India to pre-empt irregularities in the colleges, financial institutions and
industries.
Further, there are reports that the
government had allotted money to protect 19 buildings constructed by the
erstwhile Travancore kings in the
Kanyakumari District.
This decision also is consistent with the
demand submitted to the previous government. Conscious steps must be taken to protect all
pre-independence structures down to the level of village offices and the
ancient stone-sheds all over India.
Police killed seven militant people in an
encounter in the Chhattisgarh state on 4 April 2013.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, on 5 April 2013, said that he
was “neither in nor out of Prime Minister Race”.
The political power remains in the hand of the top
industrialists. He would obey their dictates.
The
New Indian Express, in its editorial, on 6 April 2013, said that all
alternatives to the existing system were not necessarily better.
This shows that the industrialists stubbornly
oppose the supervisory structure suggested by this writer.
However, the government will have to
implement it.
Former Atomic Energy Regulatory Board
Chairman A. Gopalakrishnan, on 6
April 2013, said that Koodamkulam Nuclear
Power Plant needed inspection to rule out sub-standard reactors.
The government ignores the doubts of the
ordinary people. Now, it must clear his doubts before commissioning the plant.
According to a study, the software
engineers are suffering from diabetes, blood pressure, stress and anxiety.
Quick action must be taken to send
suitable officers to all companies to supervise the service condition of the
employees.
It must be noted that a software engineer
will have paid about Re. 3 crore as income tax before his retirement. Is it not
the duty of the government to give pension in his old age? The Prime Minister
must immediately give an assurance to give pension so that they will be free
from anxiety.
A leader of the BJP, Mr.Vijay Goel, on 6 April 2013, said that the next government at
the centre would be formed under Mr. L.K.
Advani.
It is pertinent to recall that Mr. L.K. Advani, on 6 May 2005,
expressed the readiness of the BJP to support the government on any reform
vital for the economic progress. The Re.3 lakh crore rotting in the Provident Fund (PF) went in the hand of
the private parties only after this.
Is not Mr.
L.K. Advani –as the leader of the principal opposition party - responsible
for the PF money?
A man should not doubt the integrity of
every leader. However, he must clear this doubt from the mind of the people
before accepting the post of the Prime Minister of India. Taking advantage of
the secrecy of this work, he should not maintain silence.
The Department of Income Tax, on 6 April 2013,
sent two tax notices for Re.3900 crore to Aditya
Birla Telecom. A few other companies also received notices for various
amounts.
A supervisory structure, as suggested by this
writer, would have prevented these notices.
Army
Chief General Bikram Singh, on 7
April 2013, informed the people that there was peace and tranquillity on the
Sino –Indian border.
China supplies plastic materials without
paying any duty and sells through mendicants
all over India. As India pays tribute like this, there is peace on the border.
The soldiers in the border areas sleep
beside snakes. They do not get even one third of their total emoluments as take
home salary. They do not know where their money goes either. The Army Chief
could find out the correctness or otherwise this, and send a reply.
Finance Minister P. Chithambaram, on 8 April 2013, allayed the fears of the
industrialists.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, on 7 April 2013, requested the judiciary to revamp
the Justice Delivery System. He added that it should not be an impulsive
reaction.
The judiciary that failed to give freedom must
be revamped.
Chief Justice of India Altmas Kabir, on 7 April 2013, said that the bridge between the
judiciary and the executive was on the verge of collapse.
Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu state, on 9
April 2013, said that a memorial would be erected for freedom fighter Kattabomman.
Earlier, Army Chief Gen. Bikram Singh unveiled a statue of Field Marshal Manekshaw at New Delhi.
The governments or the Army Chief could have
erected suitable memorials for the heroes of the Battle of Colachel (31st
July 1741A.D.) – King Marthanda Varma, Asan
(Commander) Anantha Padmanabhan and Dalawa
(Chief Secretary) Rama Iyen.
The Union Government decided to accord
status of ‘martyr’ to soldiers and police personnel killed in the line of duty.
The above decision was taken
presumably because the present writer talked about the “supreme sacrifice” in
the last letter. The Army Chief also might have intervened based on the letter.
As words cannot bake bread, the government
must restore pension benefits before implementing it.
Now,
the TV channels and the newspapers are projecting Gujarat Chief Minister
Narendra Modi as the next Prime Minister of India. He –just like Mahatma Gandhi
– has agreed to deny freedom to become the next Prime Minister of India.
The present writer emailed some latter
chapters of this work to one or two newspapers each in the countries like the
USA, England, France, Australia. But none reported it to their readers.
Thus, the denial of FREEDOM is a global
phenomenon.
The facts from 29 March 2013 to 9 April 2013
are being submitted to His Excellency the President of India and the Supreme
Court of India on 10 April 2013.
The same letter is being sent to the Chief Justice
of India and the Chiefs of the Indian Army and Indian Air Force for necessary
action.
