Dr.Manmohan Singh - "A job to do"

  180

A JOB TO DO

The last mail was submitted to Mrs. Pratibha Devisingh Patil, Her Excellency the President of India, on 26 June 2011. The same mail was sent to the Supreme Court, Indian Army, Indian Air Force and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).  It was posted in the blog www: howeverythinghappenedinindia.blogspot.com and a link was given to www.thattan.com

A Supreme Court bench comprising Justice R.V. Raveendran and Justice A.K.Patnaik appointed a seven member committee to prepare an inventory of the jewels in the six cellars of the Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple at Trivandrum. The committee found priceless treasure – heaps of gold coins besides diamonds, emeralds and gems - on 28 June 2011.
Some people said that every coin would fetch a huge amount of money depending on its antique value. Some others said that the treasure must be melted, sold and the proceeds deposited in the banks.
The direction to prepare an inventory is an intelligent decision. The High Court, Cochin, had missed this opportunity.
However, the people fear that a Supreme Court like the present one would transmit this – just like the spectrum  -to about eight people one day or other after enacting some scenes

At the instance of the of Mrs. Sonia Gandhi and many others in the Congress Party,  Dr. Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of India, gave a closed door interview to the editors of five carefully selected newspapers on 29-6- 2011.
In this connection, Mr. Salman Khursheed, Union Minister for Water Resources, said that Dr. Manmohan Singh had been asked not to give frequent interviews to the media following the example of the President of the USA. He said that that policy had changed.
During the interview, Dr. Manmohan disclosed that he had been meeting Mrs. Sonia Gandhi every week.
However, it is pertinent to point out that the media had been taking notice of these meetings. But it had been concealing this from the eye of the people for about seven years. How the media build India could be discerned.
During the interview he, further,  said,
1. “Miss. Jayalalitha –President of the AIADMK party - is lending good co-operation”. The industrialists might have asked him to tell this. Perhaps, the interview was arranged only to convey this message.
2. “The Higher judiciary should not be included in the proposed anti-corruption law.” It is clear that the proposed act is to dilute the existing anti-corruption laws. He said this in the hope that the Supreme Court would continue to protect him.
3. “The Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) should not have commented on a policy issue”.
4. “Mrs. Sonia Gandhi was doing a superlative job”
5.  “I have a job to do” He had uttered these words six or seven times earlier. Besides this, he has been using the words ‘world of uncertainty”, ex-post and post facto” and “honest mistakes”.

Anna Hazare on 29 June 2011 described Dr. Manmohan as “a honest man”. His statement did not appear as headline news.
The people notice headline news only. They have no time to read other matters. The diminished importance -after the last mail - shows that he might not be projected as an alternative leader. Now, the media is systematically projecting Mr. Jairam Ramesh, Union Minister.

Mr. Kabil Sibal, Minister for Communication, said that the new telephone operators would be permitted to lease their radio waves to other operators.
The act of giving the spectrum or radio waves for a small amount, and allowing them to sell them to others –including the foreigners- for a huge profit is a treacherously anti-constitutional policy. The Union Ministers, President of India and the Supreme Court must accept responsibility for this.
About eight houses have illegally usurped the spectrum by creating so many scenes like first come-first serve, auction, Supreme Court, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI),  2G spectrum case, Mr.A. Raja, Mrs. Kanimozhi, Adharsh Housing Scandal, Anna Hazare, Ram Dev,                 Tihar jail and the CBI.
Now, even the King of Travancore has no spectrum. The states in the south, north and east do not possess any. Yet the above Union Minister says that the existing players would be indirectly given more. Naturally, he will get the protection of the Supreme Court.

The Union Cabinet on 1 July 2011 permitted the Cairn Energy Company to sell its Rajasthan Oil Field to Vedanta – a charge-sheeted company - with certain conditions.
This will surely help keep Dr. Manmohan Singh in position. However, the act of securing licenses for exploration, and then selling them to others for a huge profit is patently unconstitutional. All public assets must be taken over to restore constitutionalism in India.

The militant people killed 10 people and abducted 12 others in Bihar on 2 July 2011.

The CBI on 1 July 2011 registered the First Information Report (FIR) against the officials of the Director of Hydrocarbons including its former Chairman, Mr. V.K.Sibal under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
The FIR said that the officials illegally obtained favours from the representatives of a private company.
Did the Director of Hydrocarbon act without the knowledge of the Minister for Petroleum? Is Mr. Raja, former Minister for Communication, different from him?
Similarly, the CBI said that Mrs. Kanimozhi,  an MP, had acted like the brain behind the Sun TV. Now she is in jail.        In the case of other big companies, the employees are being considered as the brain behind them. Why does the CBI act like this in front of 1000 million people?

Mr. Vinod Rai, CAG, on 3 July 2011 said that the report on the hydrocarbon was revealed to the people as a part of his constitutional duty.

The Economic Times on 4 July 2011 reported that the companies linked to a Mr. Ashok Kumar Aggarwal, former deputy director in the Directorate of Enforcement, cornered the lion’s share of licences for exploring the mineral buried under the ocean floor. The paper added that he was arrested in 1999 and in 2002 for disproportionate wealth. This shows that all the works of the officials of the Directorate of Enforcement and the CBI in Delhi and Mumbai must be transferred to those in Chennai and Calcutta for better results.

The Supreme Court on 4 July 2011 issued orders to set up a Special Investigation Team (SIT) under a retired Supreme Court judge to recover black money. The judges like Justice K.G. Balakrishnan are more dangerous that the members of the Union Cabinet.

A Supreme Court bench comprising Justice G.S. Singhvi and C.K. Prasad on 5 July 2011 rejected the petition of Justice D.P. Dinakaran because his motive was to delay the impeachment proceedings.
It is clear that the bench understood the motive of Justice D.P. Dinakaran. Why do the learned judges of the Supreme Court refuse to enforce freedom of expression? Why do they facilitate the conversion of public assets into private assets using public fund? What is their real motive?

Mr. Shilas Gandhi, Central Information Commissioner (CIC), on 5 July 2011 directed the official of the CBI at Mumbai and Delhi to disclose their assets and the other sources of income in the last 10 years. As the 9 June 2011 order of the Union Government exempted the CBI from disclosure, the CIC asked the agency to respond to all applications filed before the above crucial date.

A Supreme Court bench comprising Justice B. Sudershan Reddy and Justice S.S, Nijjar, on 5 July 2011, restrained the Government of Chhattisgarh State and the Centre from arming tribal people as Special Police Officers (SPOs). The court observed that the policy of the Government would perpetrate violence against innocent civilians.
In the above matter the bench had no hesitation to annul a policy decision. This must be extended to all other unconstitutional policy decisions.

A three judge Supreme Court bench headed by Chief Justice Kapadia allowed a French Company – Lafarge - to mine limestone in the Megalaya State. The Supreme Court did not publish the names of other two judges through the media.
As the factory remains in Bangladesh, the Union Government might have fixed the judgment to strengthen Indo-Bangladesh relations. However, the Prime Minister of India shall not pay any visit to Bangladesh until China abandons its naval base in that country.

The Supreme Court on 6 July 2011 upheld an Allahabad High Court order quashing the notification to convert 156 hectare industrial land into residential apartments.

The CBI filed a First Information Report (FIR) against Mr. Dayanidhi Maran, a Union Minister belonging to the DMK party.
It is not known whether the CBI caught him red-handed in any serious offence or not.  However, the charges disclosed were: 1.He forced Mr. Sivasankaran to sell his telephone company -Air Cel- to Maxis Company and 2. The Maxis Company got the permission of the Union Cabinet to invest in India, and accordingly it invested Re.675 crore in the Sun TV Company of Mr. Kalanidhi Maran-his brother.
Mr.Maran, therefore, resigned from the Union Cabinet.
Dr. M. Karunanidhi, leader of the DMK Party, reacted to the above saying that India was under the rule of the media. He added that the media could make anyone a criminal and that Mr. Maran could not be an exception.
The above statement is consistent with this work. It came out in some parts of India because of his influence over one or two TV channels. However, he is the first political leader in India to say this openly.  The other political leaders might take notice of this.

Now an enquiry was ordered against 27 officers of the Indian Army for selling non-service weapons.

The Directorate of Enforcement on 10 July 2011 imposed a fine of Re. 7100 crore on the Etisalat – DB group under the Foreign Exchange Management Act for committing a number of illegalities.

There are reports that the Union Government is contemplating to hand over Re. 3 lakh crore in the Provident Fund and another 3 lakh crore in the Pension Fund to private parties.
In this connection, the money is like the treasure found in the Sri Padmanabhapuram Temple at Trivandrum. Her Excellency the President of India – just like the Kings of Travancore –shall not take even a dust from it. The money must be used for public investments, and all the employees must be brought under the Old Pension Scheme.

Three blasts in three places in Mumbai killed 21 people and injured several others on 13 July 2011. Mrs. Pratibhadevisingh Patil, President of India, Mr. Manmohan Singh, Mrs. Sonia Gandhi and many other leaders condemned it.

A Supreme Court bench comprising Justice Singhvi and Justice A.K. Ganguly on 12 July 2011 rejected a petition against Mr Kapil Sibal, Union Minister. The petition alleged that he arbitrarily reduced the penalty levied on Reliance Communication of Mr. Anil Ambani from Re. 680 crore to Re.5 crore.
Even after repeated requests, there is no enquiry regarding the Re. 4 crore case against Justice Singhvi. Two advocates are also not ready to clear their names. This shows that this judge must have received money from the advocates for some other cases. Therefore, the judgments of Justice Singhvi do not inspire public confidence.
In fact, the above bench is interpreting legality as illegality and vice versa.
If the judges of the Supreme Court, President of India, Prime Minister of India Union Ministers and the Members of Parliament commit any illegality, the CBI-after due investigation-could seek the permission of the Supreme Court for prosecution. The Supreme Court shall grant permission after examining the legal points. The accused must be arrested, and then released within 24 hours. The charge-sheet must be given immediately. As a rule, all prosecutions must end in conviction.
Now, none knows the real charges against Mr. A. Raja, Mrs. Kanimozhi and two or three others. In the event of their acquittal none could take away the pain experienced by them. Therefore, the CBI must either submit the charge-sheet or release them unconditionally.
Now the people think that the charges are intended to save the big offenders like the Prime Minister and the other real beneficiaries.
In this connection, it must be reiterated that about eight houses - as in the Old History of Travancore- have usurped immense public assets, and they have gradually become very powerful. They wield immense influence in the conduct and administration of the nation through their media wing. The bureaucrats virtually work under them. They are so powerful that even the learned judges of the Supreme Court are afraid of them. The Union Ministers have no control over them, and they are being simply permitted to be present at the intermittent Cabinet meetings. Dr. Manmohan Singh is doing the job dictated by them only. If he defies, he will be sent to Tihar jail.
Thus Dr. Manmohan Singh considers the people as children and makes them to chase butterflies in the back-garden while he does the job of eight men.

The facts from 26 June 2011 to 13 July 2011 are being submitted to Her Excellency the President of India on 14 July 2011.
