LOVER OF VARIETY?
The public sector TV channel, called Door Dharshan (DD), on
3 October 2014, for the first time, undertook a live telecast of the speech of RSS
chief Mr. Mohan Bhagwat.
The
Congress Party described it as a dangerous precedent.
The
Left parties and many other opposition parties condemned it. They said that he is a leader of a religious
organization.
Prime Minister of India Mr.
Narendra Modi said that his speech had news value and, therefore, gained
national importance.
Some
people felt that his speech was not newsworthy.
Some
others said that the people must know his views; and discuss them.
Actually, he did not give any novel idea. However, "variety" is the hallmark of
democracy.
Does
the RSS love democracy?
If
the prime minister loves variety, the DD would come out of the clutches of the
so-called underground moles. It might, hereafter, publish news and views to
create a new India.
