CHAPTER 146. ILLUMINATION

146

ILLUMINATION

The last Chapter was submitted to Her Excellency the President of India on 9 June 2010. A meeting of the Union Cabinet was held on 10 June 2010.

An Indian Telephone Company bought the African operations of the Zain Telecom for $10.7 billion. The media reported this on 9 June 2010.
With this acquisition, the above Indian company has 180 million subscribers in 18 Asian and African nations.
Everyone would tell that even a State Government in India, with all its resources, cannot make such an acquisition. This is not to inveigh against his wealth at all.
It must be noted that the revenue of the public sector BSNL during 2009-2010 was about $ 33 billion. It had a market share of about 20 per cent.
Therefore, the revenue of the private sector telephone companies during 2009-2010 was about $132 billion. It would increase to $176 billion during 2010-2011. The Service Tax during 2010-2011 must come to about $ 17.6 billion. But the Union Budget for 2010-2011 does not reflect this. They collect the tax but, apparently, do not remit the entire amount to the Government. Other taxes are also similarly related. The Government knowingly allows this.
The BSNL is spending a huge amount on salaries. But the Telephone Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) did not prescribe the work load or the service condition of the employees of the private telephone companies. It failed even to regulate the salaries. Therefore, they are spending only a very small amount on salaries. Their profit during 2010 -2011 would be about $88 billion.
A rough calculation would show that the profit from all the natural resources is more than $ 220 billion per year. Any democratically elected Government would pluck this wealth to promote the entrepreneurship of 1000 million people.
Now only about ten individuals take this. Naturally, they are going on buying the entire world.
So long as they get this profit, they would corrupt the entire system.
The President of Sri Lanka came to India on 9 June 2010. As usual, he was given a red-carpet welcome. Seven agreements were signed.
One agreement was related to security.
India would give $1 billion for Sri Lankan ports, airports and railways. Besides, $250 million would be gifted to build 50,000 houses.
Further, India would supply 1000 MW of electricity to Sri Lanka. For this, Indian and Sri Lankan electricity grids would be interconnected. A 500-MW power plant would be built in Sri Lanka. This might pre-empt Sri Lanka from seeking nuclear reactors from China. The Chapter – 140 motivated the Government to take this step.
Within two days of signing the above agreements, Sri Lanka allowed China to strengthen its naval base in its land. Five other agreements were also signed with China.
The naval base of China would always remain as a target for Indian forces. China got a berth in Sri Lanka because India did not give FREEDOM to the people to know the moves of China.
As the strengthening of the naval base defeats the agreement signed with India, India shall not give any gifts to Sri Lanka.
Similarly, India should not have compromised its security to strengthen trade relationship with China. But India is not confiscating even the illegally imported items. Besides, India is granting marketing rights to some individuals to make quick money.
The leader possessing the mandate to rule India attended a meeting of the newly constituted 17 member National Advisory Council (NAC) along with the Prime Minister of India.
The duty of the NAC is to illuminate the Government on various issues.
However, the Prime Minister cautioned the NAC that its advice should not affect the economic growth. Therefore, the NAC cannot advise the Government to use public assets for public welfare. The NAC cannot illuminate the Government.
Obviously, the NAC is a ceremonial committee. This shows that the Congress president wants to give more and more to the people. Nietzsche says that a man forces power, wealth and even all things to and into himself that they may flow back out of his well as the gifts of his love. Therefore, the Congress president must think of giving gifts to the people without remaining as a robber of FREEDOM.
The Congress president averted the 12 June 2010 strike of the employees of the Air India. Thus the letter No. 143 titled SUCCESS submitted on 31 May 2010 ended in success. This work averted an impending disaster.
The media did not report anything about the strike after 31 May 2010. This shows that the Government is controlling the media.
However, in this matter, the Congress president allowed herself to be illuminated by knowledge. Her passion for justice averted the strike. For a moment, Her Excellency the President of India might have experienced the manifestation of the mode of goodness.
This shows that if the Congress president wanted to take the natural assets today based on the Chapter 144, they would be taken tomorrow. The 7 May 2010 judgment of the Supreme Court would stand her in good stead. In this way, if wanted, she could rise to the mode of goodness.
Protesting over the red-carpet welcome given to the President of Sri Lanka on 9 June 2010, the militant people blasted a railway track on 12 June 2010 in Tamil Nadu State. Alertness of a guard saved the lives of 2000 passengers.
In another incident, police killed 10 militant people. The militant people kill the innocent people. At the same time, anyone going through this work would tell that the person possessing the mandate is killing the militant people without giving any FREEDOM to them to air their views or to hear the views of others.
If the Government had opened this work for public discussion, such incidents would not have happened. The militant people would have chosen a constitutional way to release their pent-up anger. Therefore, anyone going through this work would beseech the Congress president to give FREEDOM to Indians without waiting for another tragedy. In this matter, Congress president must consider the passengers as her own children.
The Chief Justice of India must also open his eyes. It might have come to his notice that if there were any right to FREE speech, at least some small political parties - staying in the opposition - would have demanded the Government to take over the public assets. Now no political party is demanding this. This shows that the Supreme Court is not protecting the rights and interests of the political parties by enforcing FREEDOM of expression.
The Chief Justice of India fears that that the entire system would fall apart if he opened his eyes. He, perhaps, believes that the traditional virtues make for a sound sleep. Therefore, the Chief Justice of India must open his eyes to enforce FREEDOM of expression. This is for the illumination of the people by knowledge.
It is said that the manifestation of the mode of goodness can be experienced when all the gates of the body are illuminated by knowledge.
The facts from 9 June 2010 to 14 June 2010 are being submitted to Her Excellency the President of India on 15 June 2010.
