INDIA:
A
DEMOCRACY?
In a centre page article, The New
Indian Express, on 17 March 2016, said that “the
Indians rule themselves by electing their representatives.... There is no bar
on anyone in India to change the public discourse by presenting their ideology
before people and coming to power and changing the course of governance and
policy, all within the larger ambit of our Constitution”.
This is the reply of the media
brigands to this work.
Everyone must note that the Union
Government represents just ten men in India and not at all 1000 million people.
All public assets are in the hand
of these ten men.
They hire a few political leaders,
impart an all India image and run the country through them.
The duty of these hired men is to
depict India as a democracy, deny freedom, pretend to serve the people and transmit
the public resources to the ten men.
All the rest must pay money to their
newspapers and TV channels to air their views. This is not possible.
The public sector TV channels also
take orders from the ten men.
As the Union Government represents
these ten men, it is out and out an illegitimate one.
Evidently, the Indians have not tasted
freedom.
They have seen Indian despotism and
not at all their government.
The armed forces should not do obeisance
to any illegitimate government. But they do because of the atmosphere created
by the articles such as the above one.
