521: PRIME MINISTER Mrs. MAY: A BRIGHT ERA OF PEACE

PRIME MINISTER Mrs. MAY: A BRIGHT ERA OF PEACE

The Indian Parliament, on 19 July 2016, passed the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Bill 2016, the single eligibility test for the medical courses.
The Union Health Minister, Mr. J.P. Nadda clarified that the NEET would not disturb the State quotas. Thus, as in the past, 15 per cent would go to the central pool and the rest will remain with the States.
Did the government concede this concession as a result of the intense pressure exerted by this man? As the Supreme Court of India does not reveal what is happening, there is no way to know this.
However, if the concession is true, this could be extended to the Civil Services, IITs, IIMs and others.
The minister, further, said that the Bill is to prevent the capitation fee extracted by the private colleges.
The Supreme Court of India- in the pretext of liberalization -  had encouraged the private colleges to collect capitation fee by dubious methods.
If the object of the present Bill is to prevent this evil, the court could have directed the States to make admissions strictly based on the State merit list.
Taking a mean position, the court could have directed the States to give 20 per cent weight age for the state level entrance test.
The present Bill will make the school education an informal one.
The privileged few would encourage their wards to break education for one year just to attend coaching centres.
          This happens in the IIT-JEE.
Unfortunately, there is no proper man in the Union Cabinet to keep the prime minister by good advice.

The militant people killed 10 soldiers by triggering a landmine at Aurangabad in the Bihar State on 19 July 2016. Five soldiers were wounded. After that, four militant people were killed in a gun battle.
This is a calamity. But the media does not report this with any seriousness.
The present man wanted the government to reveal the demands of the militant people.
No leader is ready to recognize the opinion for its worth. Instead, they persist with the ‘you kill, we kill’ policy.
Apparently, the prime minister is forced into measures of hostility towards his own subjects.
Prime Minister of England Mrs. May also could reveal the demands of the terrorists to begin a bright era of peace.
Foe this, the people all over the world must have freedom to know news and views according to degree.
This is letter No. 521
