India, on 16 February 2026, seized three vessels sanctioned by the USA -Stellar Ruby, Asphalt Star and Al Jafzia – about 100 nautical miles west of Mumbai in India’s exclusive economic zone. Two of the three tankers are linked to Iran.

President of Russia Mr. Vladimir Putin, on 18 February 2026, said, “Any decision to supply Tomahawk long range weaponry to Ukraine will destroy any positive talks and diplomatic ties with Washington.”

President of France Mr. Emmanuel Macron paid a visit to India on 17 February 2026. After welcoming him at Mumbai, Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi said, “The world is going through a period of uncertainty. In such an environment, the India- France partnership is a force for global stability. We are combining France’s expertise and India’s scale.”

The highlight of the visit was the virtual inauguration of the Airbus H-125 helicopter final assembly line at Vemagal in Karnataka.

Next day, he attended the AI Summit at New Delhi.

The US Supreme Court, in a 6-3 decision authored by Chief Justice John Roberts, on 20 February 2026, ruled that President Mr. Donald Trump acted beyond his legal authority in imposing sweeping global tariffs under emergency powers. The court said that the use of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act to introduce broad-based tariff lacked congressional authorization.

The Treasury had collected more than $133 billion from the tariffs.

President of the USA Mr. Donald Trump said, “Supreme Court’s judgment is extraordinarily anti –American. They are a disgrace to our nation and they were very unpatriotic and disloyal to the Constitution.”

Two justices in the majority – Barrett and Neil Gorsuch- had been appointed by President Mr. Trump himself.

The USA might circumvent the judgment as for as possible.

However, in sharp contrast, the Supreme Court of India permits the Government of India to change the Constitution of India in the pretext of amendment, appoint illegal judges, plunder public assets and deny liberty. These are felonies.

The leader of the opposition, Mr. Rahul Gandhi, on 24 February 2026, said, “The trade deal you made with America, in which you sold the country, is shameful. He sold India to US to save his image from the Epstein files and the criminal cases in the US against Gautam Adani.”

Israel, on 24 February 2026, bombed Russian’s Khmeimim Air Base in Syria for the first time. Russian air defences failed to intercept it.

The USA, on 25 February 2026, imposed a countervailing duty of 125% on imports of solar cells and modules from India. Further, it started antidumping-duty investigations. It named two Adani Group entities –Mundra Solar Energy and Mundra Solar PV as mandatory respondents.

Prime Minister of Canada Mr. Mark Carney paid a four day visit to India on 27 February 2026. His visit normalized Indo-Canadian relationship that strained due to Nijjar murder case. Agreements on uranium and critical minerals, the launch of a talent/innovation strategy and efforts to advance the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement were the key outcomes.

Israel and the USA, on 28 February 2026, launched a major joint military operation called “Epic Fury” against Iran. Iranian Supreme Leader Mr. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, President Mr. Masound Pezeshkian and all military installations were the target of the attack.

The operation “Epic Fury” killed 48 Iranian leaders and top commanders —Mr. Khamenei included.

Israel said, “The attacks were in response to the existential threat from the Iranian regime.”

In response, Iran attacked Israel and the US bases, their radar stations, ships and oil installations across the Gulf countries - Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, UAE, Bahrain, Iraq – and Jordan, Turkey and Cyprus with missiles and drones. It affected the supply of oil and gas to many countries.

India urged all states to exercise restraint and respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all states. It demanded dialogue – not military confrontation.

President of USA Mr. Donald Trump, on 2 March 2026, said, “It’s always been a four week process. Right from the beginning, we projected four to five weeks to terminate the military leadership of Iran.

The regime already had missiles capable of hitting Europe and air bases, both local and overseas, and would soon have had missiles capable of reaching our beautiful America. The purpose of this fast growing missile programme was to shield their nuclear weapons development and make it extraordinarily difficult for anyone to stop them from making these - highly forbidden by us- nuclear weapons.

An Iranian regime armed with long range missiles and nuclear weapons would be an intolerable threat to the Middle-East but also American people. Our country itself would be under threat.

It had waged a war against civilization.”

Next day, he said, “We are going to destroy their missiles and raze their missile industry to the ground. The hour of your freedom is at hand. When we are finished, take your own government. It will be yours to take. It will be – probably- your only chance for generations.

To the members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard, the armed forces and all the police, I say tonight that you must lay down your weapons and have complete immunity or in the alternative certain death.”

China said, “Such acts are unacceptable. This is an incitement for regime change.”

According to some reports, China sent one or more type-055 destroyers and Surface to Air Missiles (SAM) to Iran.

The USA, on 4 February 2026, sank an Iranian naval vessel - called IRIS Dena- near Sri Lanka. The ship had been the guest of Indian Navy during naval engagements in Visakapatnam. It was struck by an US submarine without warning.

France granted permission to the USA to use its bases provided they are not used to strike Iran.

Spain requested the USA not to use its air bases to strike Iran. President Mr. Trump threatened to halt trade with Spain.

The Congress Party questioned the silence of the Government of India on the West Asia crisis as “Reckless abdication of India’s strategic, national interests.”

Iran said, “There is a moral and ethical requirement on every stakeholder to condemn the killing of Khamenei. We call upon everyone –including India, to condemn the killing of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. That they can decapitate or assassinate the head of another state at will is a breach of law is going to haunt everyone.”

India condoled Supreme Leader Ali Khameni’s death.

US Senate rejected a resolution to curb President Mr. Trump’s power to fight the US-Israeli war against Iran.

President of Iran said, “Apologies for firing on regional nations. Sorry to neighbors. We won’t attack neighbors unless fresh attacks originate from those states. We harbor no enmity.”

President Mr. Trump said, “No deal with Iran unless it surrenders.”

According to some reports the joint air strikes knocked out 42 Iranian ships.

India, on 1 March 2026, allowed three Iranian ships to dock in Cochin for humanitarian reasons.

UAE billionaire Mr. Khalaf Ahmad said, “Now we find ourselves facing a military escalation that endangers the entire region.”

Iran, on 7 March 2026, said, “US should take surrender dream to grave. We can sustain war for six months.”

President Mr.Trump, on 10 March 2026, said, “US-Israeli war on Iran will be over very soon. Many objectives of the war have been achieved. Don’t try anything cute.”

Iran said, “We will fight till the shadow of war is lifted.” It launched the heaviest barrage of strikes.

International Energy Agency (IEA) decided to release 400 million barrels of reserve oil.

President Mr. Trump asked Iran to remove the mines in the Strait of Hurmuz. Iran, apparently, permitted an India bound oil tanker to pass through the Strait of Hurmuz.

China demanded respect for International Law and end to war on Iran.

Israel struck a bank in Iran. Iran said that the financial institutions in the Gulf countries would be legitimate targets.

President Mr.Trump said, “Nothing left to target in Iran. The USA is spending $1 billion to $2 billion every day for the war.

Iran said, “Israel and the USA hit 10,000 civilian areas.”

President Mr. Trump said, “Iran war is an excursion.”

India, on 11 March 2026, backed an UN resolution that condemned Iran for attacking the Gulf countries and Jordan.

Russia described the resolution as disgraceful. Russian envoy to UN said, “Iran has full right to self-defence.”

New Iran’s Supreme Leader and son of Mr. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Mr. Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, said, “Attacks on Gulf Arab neighbors will continue. Strait of Hormuz will remain closed as a tool of pressure against our enemies.”

President Mr. Trump said, “US is not yet finished with Iran. The war is more important than oil prices.”

As per British newspaper Financial Times, Iran obtained nuclear key from Russia.

If it is true, it is better to halt the war.

Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi paid a two-day visit to Israel on 26 February 2026. Prime Minister of Israel Mr. Benjamin Netanyahu, along with his wife, welcomed him at the airport. In an address to Knesset, he said, “No cause can justify the murder of civilians. Nothing can justify terrorism. Countering terrorism requires sustained and coordinated global action because terror anywhere threatened peace everywhere.

We feel your pain. We share your grief. India stands with Israel firmly with full conviction, in this moment and beyond.

The road to peace is not always easy, but India joins you and the world for dialogue, peace and stability in this region.”

He chose not to utter any words for the killing of more than 72,000 Palestinians –mostly women and children.

He got himself the “Speaker of Knesset Medal.”

The Congress Party depicted Modi’s Israel visit created the perception of a political endorsement of military escalation.

Madras High Court, on 20 February 2026,  directed the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti Corruption (DVAC)) to register a first information report (FIR) forthwith for cash-for-job allegation against a senior minister in the Government of Tamil Nadu, Mr. K.N. Nehru.

The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) submitted the investigation report to the High Court. The allegation was that he received - through hawala transaction - Re. 25 lakh to 35 lakh from 2538 persons for the post of Assistant Engineers, Junior Engineers and Town Planning Officers. They joined duty six months ago. According to the ED, Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu had recommended 53 candidates.

No political party is ready to supply jobs in the Government and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).  When they appoint some conductors, drivers, engineers and doctors, they demand Re. ten lakh to 50 lakh for every appointment. Without knowing this trick, some fools burn midnight oil to sit for competitive examinations. Under these conditions, some candidates might come forward to tell their predicament.  Re. 10 crore could be given, if his complaint leads to an F.I.R.

However, the DVAC cannot proceed with this case meaningfully because the law enforcement agencies –ED included- are unable to proceed against the Prime Minister of India for changing the Constitution of India in the pretext of its amendment, appointing illegal judges, plundering public assets and denying liberty. The backroom players keep him as a stable leader only for these. These are bigger felonies than accepting Re.35 lakh for every appointment. In fact, Re.35 lakh is nothing compared to six airports, Indian Petrochemical Corporation Limited (IPCL) or Hindustan Zinc Limited (HZL).

The judges also cannot proceed with this case because the Government appoints them illegally. If the judges cannot question the illegal appointment of judges, they cannot question the illegal appointments of others.

Therefore,  the DVAC chose not to obey the order.

Former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Mr. O. Pannerselvam, on 24 February 2026, said that some leaders asked him to join the DMK-led alliance. These are the backroom players. They want to isolate the TVK leader before consuming him by offering power.

This shows that the freedom of Indians to vote is the freedom to vote in a particular way as determined by the backroom players- some private companies. Thus, the backroom players nip the TVK leader in the bud.

Congress Party decided to form an alliance with the DMK and rejected the TVK party.

Congress Party also obeys the backroom players and permits the Government to change the Constitution of India in the pretext of amendment, appoint illegal judges, plunder public assets and deny liberty. Now, it obeys them in the matters of political alliances.

However, the decision made the TVK still more popular because the people want it to be free from the Congress Party and the BJP. In fact, the TVK leader has a chance to become an all India leader if he is free from their bad influences.

The USA, on 6 February 2026, granted permission to India to buy Russian oil for one month. Russia said that it would not be discounted oil but oil at market price.

Senior Supreme Court of India advocate Mr. Abhishek Manu Singhvi said, “Constitution does not defend itself. It relies on disciplined minds and courageous voices. Institutions –including courts- can falter but courage must outlive error. The eventual acknowledgment of error demonstrates something equally powerful; that constitutional systems possess the capacity for self-correction. The lesson is not to romanticize fallibility but to recognize that vigilance is generational.”

These are golden words.

The government of India cannot change the Constitution of India in the pretext of amendment, appoint illegal judges, plunder public assets and deny liberty without Mr. Singhvi’s tacit permission. The reason is that all advocate associations will stand by him. Even the political parties will begin to support him.

Therefore, the Supreme Court of India can acknowledge error and put right the public wrongs.

It can appoint legal judges. It can restore the Constitution of India and all privatized public assets. Above all, it can ensure liberty.
